Ishana Debba, D.O.M.P., BSc Kin
Hi, I’m Ishana, an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner and Kinesiologist with BOOM Healing. I believe that every person’s body tells a unique story. Our movement patterns, experiences, injuries, stress, and everyday lives all shape the way we feel and function. My role is to help you better understand your body, support its ability to adapt, and create more comfort, confidence, and freedom in how you move through life.
I work with people who are curious about their bodies and want to explore what is possible. Whether you are recovering from an injury, managing ongoing discomfort, or simply looking to improve how you move and feel, my goal is to meet you where you are and support you on your individual journey.
My approach is rooted in curiosity, compassion, and connection. I enjoy understanding the patterns that make each person unique — from the small details of how the body moves to the larger experiences that shape who we are.
My personality is both deep and sentimental, as well as lighthearted and playful. I naturally notice patterns — from the small details of how the body moves to the bigger experiences that shape who we are. I genuinely enjoy getting to know each person and understanding what makes them unique.
MY JOURNEY TO OSTEOPATHY & KINESEOLOGY
Movement has always been an important part of my life. Growing up, I explored many different sports and found a sense of freedom, connection, and joy through moving my body. This early relationship with movement naturally guided me toward a career focused on understanding the human body and helping others.
I began my studies in Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University, where I developed a strong foundation in human movement, exercise, and physical function. Throughout my education, I became increasingly interested in how we can support people beyond traditional approaches and address the individual as a whole.
My path to Osteopathy began unexpectedly. During my undergraduate studies, I completed a co-op placement at a chiropractic clinic, where I became interested in hands-on approaches to care. While chiropractic education options did not align with the path I wanted to take at that time, my interest in manual therapy remained.
While exploring further education opportunities in Vancouver, I discovered Osteopathy. I applied to the five-year in-person program and was accepted. Throughout my studies, I found a strong connection between Osteopathic principles and the way I naturally view the body — as an interconnected system influenced by movement, experiences, and the environment around us.
Today, my background in both Kinesiology and Osteopathy allows me to offer different approaches to care, depending on each person’s needs and goals.
How I Help
Every person brings a different history, lifestyle, and set of experiences to their care. There is no single approach that works for everyone. I take the time to understand your goals, your concerns, and how your body is moving and functioning. Through assessment, education, hands-on treatment, and movement strategies, I aim to help you develop a better relationship with your body and support you in reaching the next stage of your journey. My goal is not to create dependence on treatment, but to provide you with the knowledge, tools, and support you need to continue moving forward with confidence.

Why I Love What I Do
Our bodies allow us to experience the world — to move, connect, work, play, and participate in the moments that matter most. When our bodies are not functioning the way we would like, it can affect many areas of our lives.
I love helping people reconnect with their bodies, understand what they need, and find ways to move with greater ease and confidence. Seeing someone regain comfort, improve their function, or feel more capable in their body is what makes this work so meaningful to me.
I believe that compassionate, individualized care creates positive change — not only for each person, but also for the communities and relationships we are part of.
If you feel ready to explore what is possible for your health and movement, I would be honoured to be part of your journey.
